I own DT770 pro for home/travel/audio work; they cost me less than dre beats but sound twice as good. Also the most comfortable I've felt. Would have gone for the 880/990 but they are semi-open/open so I can't really use them on a plane. Sennheiser HD600/650 were also great when I tested them, but got a good deal on the beyers.
Also have a cheaper in-ear sony pair to workout/work outside/go to school with. Don't care if they get stepped on/wet/crushed as I'll just buy another pair. And have volume/song/mic iphone control right on the cord; really convenient.

i got a new set of beats inner earphones for half price; figured i could use them as my backup earphones once the ones i use for jogging fall apart (and they ALWAYS do!). So i put them in and the mid and highs sound muffled, bass overdone but sort of sloppy...my current $20 sony earphones sound better. But whatever, still for jogging. At home i prefer headphones but the best earphones i've used so far are Shure...Sennheiser is good stuff too.
