i started off with the series 6 and the 63. i then realized how insignificant it was so i got the series 7. i also just picked up the series 3 in march.
the series 6 isnt that big so you shouldnt have many problems if you study. i suggest you just read the book at least once (or more would be better) and study the practice tests like crazy. then refer to the book on the questions that you get incorrect. reading the explanations are a big help and you should be getting scores of 85% or more on the practice exams. once you get to that point, you should be ready for the real test.
you can expect about 100 or so questions that are multiple choice, timed of course...there should be a good description of the test within your study materials...
watch out for the double negative questions, read them carefully, and never ever CHANGE your first answers unless you realize that you read the question incorrectly. try to go through the questions and go back to the ones you dont know. theres no point in being bogged down and having all your time run out. i have tried bisys and stc and ive had better experiences with the stc material so its good thats one of your sources.
if i think of anything else, ill repost.
just out of curiosity, why are you taking the 6 rather than the 7? also, if you dont mind me asking, what do you do?
good luck!
