Really wanting to get into the nice photo and video scene now, i thought it would be time after new years to grab some good hardware.

Whats a good camera to get started with around 1K price guys.
Also a good lens, i would be mostly doing car pics and people pics.

Also maybe some recommendations on a camera/lens combo to get the best use out of the camera.
