I love ABS on my bikes. you don't have to think just squeeze. I tend to lock up briefly on that initial brake application during a panic stop.
as a rider I rather NOT hit anything even if they are in the wrong.
ride like they all want you dead and MOST IMPORTANT keep the speed delta down.
watch those empty spaces as you lane split. cars will dive into them.
as for them Hardleys. they fucking suck.
