I have a hard time congratulating someone for fighting off carjackers when they got the car because she left the keys in the car. Less stupid actions by the general public would avoid a lot of problems.
I don't leave my keys in my car so I am far less likely to end up in this scenario. Guy jumps in my car and I call the police not jump on the hood.
I am also not willing to risk my life over a car that will be replaced by insurance.
