That said, I'm sure you'll adjust to it and it's not like you really drive like that everyday so I wouldn't be dissuaded from buying it.

I think the lack of sound in the Tesla add to the sensation. If you are slammed back in you seat in a loud muscle/sports car it makes sense, you're ready for it, you expect it. The Tesla just doesn't compute, which is kinda cool.
