Yes, many limits in Canada are fairly low, but I'd imagine it's like here in the US. Find places where the population is low or non-existent and stretches are visible with no traffic or cars on the side of the road and you can let it rip, no one will care or be endangered except yourself (if you are alone). If you do it in a twisty mountain pass area, you are ready to slow down if need be and not being stupid with your sight lines. If you do get stopped by a random unit going the other way, chances are they'll mark it down a bunch.

Do it on a crowded highway with other people, in a city, in a residential area, you're just being stupid and deserve to get caught. No sympathy. That's like taking a **** where you eat. I'm not talking about cruising 5mph or 10kph above the limit, but overt speeding well over 20 in excess of the limits, the higher it is over that figure, the more egregious the police are going to take it in a city/residential/populated area.
