I mostly agree with what’s been said already. It’s meant as a very functional material and works well for that purpose. The one thing i would add is that it’s fire-retardant, which is very important for race applications.
It is odd that marketing has turned it into a premium interior covering, yes. I don’t agree though with those of you who think it’s ugly. It looks and feels pretty great when combined with the right leathers and other materials.
