What are the issues you are struggling with and can you not just go back and have the other panels done? May be a little more than $2k since not all same job, but shouldn't be too much more.
I'm asking as I'm on the fence about doing my whole car (if it ever arrives stateside) vs just the typical impact areas.

I spent $5k for custome front, hood, mirrors, roof, rocker panels, and rear high impact areas. For $7k I could have done the doors and what was left. I was pappered with some rocks couple weeks back and got two very miniscule scratches on my driver side door. It's hard to find them, but I know they're there, which bothers me very much. Had I not had the PPF it would have been a disaster. My PPF caught a whole bunch.
In a couple of years I'll add some M Performance parts and re-wrap the car.
