But what they say matches what James Allison said, about how the tv announcers were not quite right about porpoising being just the floor stalling. If this is the case it might actually be a case of the rear suspension causing the issues on the Merc. Very intriguing to see how they solve it, and when they do I want to see just how much down force the w13 can really make. If the engineer was right and the cars that bounce the most make the most down force the w13 might actually have a ton of pace hidden.

Whether or not Mercedes actually achieves this, I truly think this is what it is. Its boom or bust. You can't tell me Mercedes, 8-time Constructors, can't figure out their car or made a car this bad. I think they know that they would have a fast car if they can sort out the chassis and aero. It's a matter of when and how fast they can make the changes especially when they're limited in resources due to regulations.
