This memory of mine, doesn't compare but it was reading in Autoweek/Competition press that qualifying for the 1968 Italian GP resulted in John Surtees taking pole for the Honda Racing team, in their Honda RA301...averaging a speed of 150.314 mph which was the first 150mph lap (anywhere) in a Formula 1 car. A really big threshold for the era.
