He bought the company. He can fire every last person if that's what he want's to do. I haven't heard of anyone being unable to access twitter or tweet so I'm not exactly sure the firings are being "felt" at the moment. Maybe it will all break tomorrow, I have no idea, but as of now it seems to all be working fine. |
Agreed! Four thousand employees gone and Twitter is just fine. It just goes to show you that the workforce was bloated and Elon knew that. Will there be some restructuring? Absolutely! That happens with any change of power/ownership. Changes that disrupt the dictatorial climate are likened/linked to Republicans/MAGA/Trump/LibsofTiKTok/etc. involvement just like every instance of somebody not getting their way is likened/linked to racism/homophobia/xenophobia/some other phobia/etc. It's just ridiculous reasoning.
