All I would miss from facebook is a pretty decent way to centrally handle events, its all I ever use it for anymore.

The only reason I have FB is for Marketplace. I had a garage full of car parts that I wanted to sell and had no action on listings with other sites. A friend who knows I hate FB said to get it for that reason. Sure enough, I sold everything I wanted to in a month. Within 24 hours of listing an item I usually had two to three solid local offers. Hate em, but also hate to admit it works for some things.
I got a Twitter account to follow one guy because my daughter wanted a new XBox. That worked as well, I think I’ve Tweeted twice and both times were to a BP member that no longer posts here.
Other than that, agreed with the above, it just contributes to more noise of the negative side of society.
