This is a good theory, until you realize that reptiles don't really evolve. We have some around today that are essentially unchanged for millions of years. And the dinosaurs, regardless of their size because of the amount of oxygen in the air, were just as dumb as modern reptiles, even having roamed the earth for much longer than humans have.
