yup. They don't want two number one drivers constantly competing. They need a driver who is happy to take the back seat to Max, but can also step up and win when something goes wrong for Max.
I am pretty surprised at the gap that's opened between Max and the entire rest of the field, Checo included. It's like something clicked for Max after Baku and he turned it up to 12.
