I wanted to find out why RB was so slow in qualifying too, then I looked deep into it and found out Mercedes had the same exact issue and they didn't know why. Only for next race, they gapped the entire field by like 30+ seconds.
I also watched mostly the laptimes in the race and Max was basically lapping the same as the top 4 on hards, until everyone else got new hards, then he went on MEDs and was lapping as fast as the mercedes, if not a tenth quicker.

Red Bull knew in advance that of all race tracks, Singapore suits their RB19 the least of all. I
predicted maximum P6 or P7 for Verstappen. Considering Ocon and Russell DNF, he finished P5. As the race progressed, more rubber on track = improved grip (after FP1 and FP2 most rubber was washed away by tropical rain - FP3 and qualies were tricky as regards grip).
Next week down at Suzuka it will be back to the order of the day for them.
