17 is still a kid mate ! And that will never happen again in the F1 history .
When he was 18 , he had to return to Belgium (20 min. from my place) to do his theory exam and practical driving test.
And so he got his 'Belgian driver license .
BTW : MAX didn't got a 'given opportunity . He had to prove himself first in several Red Bull test run sessions against the chrono..
MAX had to be extremely fast , and only then he got his F1 entrance in the shitty Toro Rosso car ..
His second F1 race was the Malaysia GP (2015 March 29) , he ran P7 and took his first WDC points in the shitty Toro Rosso car !
