Ferrari is probably still 'checking' now. Cost them many millions though (I believe to have heard that 9 million of WCC prize money was at stake between Mercedes and Ferrari).
Sainz is classified as "DNF" as he failed to drive the final lap.
Sainz during qualies yesterday: rather "King Of Sorrow" than "Smooth Operator" this time around. Because of the strat mistake during qualies (result: P16), he compromised his race strat and with his team "checking" whether a safety car was still in the cards, he ruined his race and the chance to get WCC #2.
