Truth. Same goes for firefighters, police, paramedics, and anyone else that that routinely puts themselves in harms way. If anything, these professions see way more action than someone in the military that's trained to fight. And these professions apparently don't get paid squat to what what some in the military may see.

Lastly, all of these people did choose their profession. You would hope most understand the positives, negatives, and the sacrifice. Many of us outside of the military also "sacrifice" too with high levels of stress (which sucks years out of your life span), lots of travel, long hours, time away from friends, family, missed events, etc. I'm not saying it's comparable but no job is perfect.
