Not on the same scale obviously...but back in the day I owned a few old school 2wd 911 turbos which were renown for turbo lag and chucking their owners backwards into the countryside.
If pressing on hard you had to take turns with some throttle applied but not go full throttle before you were back in a straight line.

Never tried "throttle tapping"...pretty sure I didn't have the talent to control the instability it must have caused.
