I don’t think there is anything wrong with his statement.
Put Max in Merc, Ferrari or Mcl would he have won the title the last two years. I very much doubt it.
Put Lewis, George, Lando, Charles, Carlos in the redbull would they. I think most likely yes.
This takes nothing from Max, still think he’s a generational talent and the best on the grid at the moment. But you can still only do what’s best with what you have.
