Big screens is a thing i both like and dislike for many reasons, i do not like having everything there for example certain stuff could be buttons that would be better but i do not like the cars of old when the whole inside was buttons that looked tacky af. So a mix of the two should be the best option where certain stuff don't need to be on buttons like i am not sure why we still have rear wiper on stalks instead of touch screen that is such a rear usage that it could be there with smart select ofcourse or buttons like opening the fuel cap and such do those need to be on buttons or can we have it on screens. I wonder if any of the large manufactures have data on how much certain buttons/knobs/stalks are used then make up a decision based on that maybe.

For example do you change songs/radio station more often then changing temperature in the car? Probably then that maybe should be on the steering wheel. Could we have certain features of the cruise control on the screen and replace that with climate buttons on the steering wheel maybe?

But the steering wheel should not be touch i think that is problematic due to the nature of touch in it self that i can react weirdly to the sense of body parts being close to it, for example sometimes my current phone lock it self up in a weird way due some touch mechanics.

So i mean i like screen but they don't need to be for everything i would like to see a design language with the screens maybe being lower down so you can see more above the dash and over the hood while adding maybe more "HUD" features you could possibly have climate controls being able to be changed in the hud display or so.
