It's indeed very speculative whether or not the McLaren would've managed a 1 stop. Certainly Norris' car had a lot of tyre wear.
However the hards have been known to degrade to a certain point and from there on stay consistent or sometimes improve a bit. I think that was what happening on LEC car.
But if that would happen on a McLaren...who knows...

Not only from friday on saturday, but from Q2 to Q3.
Max was way slower in Q3 (I believe he did a 1:19,6 or so in Q2 and was in the 1:20's in Q3) whereas most others improved in Q3 which is normal.
What RB is experiencing now looks like what Mercedes had most of last year and the year before, that performance just suddenly falls away and they don't know why. Toto said numerous times before new races that they now understand, and then after the race that they don't understand
