It's probably not chrome, but polished/anodized aluminum. You can try using a metal polish by hand that is safe for anodized aluminum, but if the scratches are too deep it may require using a machine polisher or stripping the finish.
You can find the part number by entering your car's info at realoem.com - it may be cheaper to replace the trim if polishing isn't acceptable. Good luck!
