I'll add to this comment. I have the first gen play 1 and they aren't supported as well as the newer models. I've bought most of my 8 speakers on FB Marketplace for about $100 each which might be a good way for you to test the waters to see if you like them. Overall a good product. Decent sound for the money and you can set up different zones to play different music in different areas of the house. You can also set up the speakers in stereo using two speakers in a zone.
