I get you can’t offer every feature in every model for cost and efficiency as well as vehicle/feature design considerations, but many things are relatively easy to scale.

they want you to pay up. adding a bunch of a la carte options drives up prices across the board. the more combinations of X3 there is to make the higher production costs become.
i agree on the x3. we checked out the m40i and the fact it didn't have air ride or a good stereo. the X5 had those and rode well but my god is it huge now. nothing sporty about it.
luckily the macan gts exists so thats what we're gonna buy. Air ride, burmester stereo, noise insulated glass, pdk transmission, pscb brakes with almost no brake dust, etc.
