None of my X5's issues were engine related. They were all things that could have happened in any car they sold.

It has been my experience that BMW owners are far more likely to see things not as "reliability issues" than other brands. Maybe because reliability issues is like, engines blowing up in BMWs, whereas in a domestic car it's like, a taillight leaking water.
