🙏🏻 Today marks exactly 11 years since the tragic incident at the Meribel resort, as a result of which seven-time Formula 1 champion Michael Schumacher suffered a severe head injury and spent six months in a coma.
On December 29, 2013, Michael went off the track and skied about 20 meters down a slope that was not open to visitors. His skis hit a rock under the snow, and Schumacher ended up flying head-on into a rock ledge. Michael's helmet cracked from the impact.
⛔️ At first, Schumacher was conscious, but already in the helicopter, he collapsed, Michael was connected to artificial ventilation, and underwent two neurosurgical operations.
Only on June 16, 2014, six months later, the driver came out of a coma, having suffered irreversible brain damage.
In recent years, there has been virtually no reliable news about Michael. Most likely, the driver is in a state close to vegetative, but we still wish Schumacher health.
While there is no official news, there is always hope. According to the latest rumors, he attended his daughter's wedding in 2024, but again, it is unclear how.
