RX comes up all the time as an X5 competitor. I suspect there's a small overlap in people who are really torn between the two because they're like, diametrically opposed in goal, but they're definitely class competitive. The X5 is of course WAY more sporty and capable in terms of towing and off-road, but the RX is focused a lot more on comfort and reliability/ease of ownership.
