Hi everybody my F40 M135i 2022 is currently getting an ecu unlock done! I’m incredibly excited however i am scared of getting general maintenance done on the car.

Before the car went in it needed the tyre pressure sensors changed and the heating wasn’t working as properly as it should have. However to me these aren’t major concerns and the car was already booked in so i will get these things fixed as soon as it comes back.

My main worry is whoever fixes the heating and the pressure sensors will this affect my ecu unlock at all? Will the garage do anything at all which can therefore then cause my ecu to re lock and cost me a lot of money and time needing to get it re locked again?

I’ve been told not to take it to bmw main dealer garages but what about a normal garage.
