2011 135i build thread

Hello, I thought I would document my build thread as it got started today. First off, my name is Andrew, and I come from the VW world. I did several builds

And I had to take a break to help my daughter with an illness that insurance did not cover and put my wife through nursing school. But I'm back and needed a project. Then I ran into this video.

You may know Alex's car, he is Bernooo here and on the web. He built in my head the ultimate 135i and I fell in love. So, I dove into the BMW world, did homework and decided on a N55 2011 135i. And it just so happened to come up at a nearby dealership and I got a price I was happy with. I drove home happily for the 1.5 hour it took to get home. Got it in the driveway and felt good about it... until the next day.

The next day I got in and drove it around and within 15 minutes, the car began an all systems shut down. WHAT THIS GOD FORSAKEN BONG coming from over and over? The wipers started to go on, the dials on the dash went nuts. I was not happy. Long story long, I took it to a BMW master tech and let him have the car, for 3 months.... He gave it back after that time and could not find the problem. Awesome. I later found we have a BMW whisperer in town, and he diagnosed the problem. We are back on the road. Soon after, I hit a manhole sized pothole that cracked the wheel and damaged the suspension. Awesome. So to sum up, the car has basically sat for 2 years. But we are now starting the new build and will make this one of the best 135i ever.
The goal is for an all arounder. Daily driven, great drivers car, but that can also go to shows. This will not be a track car, but one that can do HP days at the track.
Headlights have already been shipped to Bayoptiks. Custom made Rotiform wheels are currently being built. Right now a Seibon hood, Reiger type side skirts, and a VIS CSL hood are at the paint shop with the car, being painted and put on. I will post updates as they come along.

Thanks, Andrew
