Monaco is Monaco. Don't rule out an incident between some, or even all, of the four front runners (NOR - LEC - PIA - VER) when negotiating Turn 1: they all are determined to get P1 after Turn 1. NOR and PIA on the inside and LEC and VER on the outside. In the past, NOR already messed up some race starts. Expect NOR (on the inside) to simply go straight to reach Turn 1 first, with Piastri blocked behind him. If he brakes late in Turn 1 to defend his track position against LEC (on the outside), we're in for a Lap 1 red flag.

The nervosity will be palpable during the 'beep-beep' red lights race start sequence.
i've never seen a crash by the top starters in Monaco in the 30 years i've been watching. it's a very short run to T1, a big wall on the left, but you could in theory cut the corner but that should be a slam dunk.

this year seems to be a different year in T1 incidents but i have a feeling the run is too short to do anything, unless Lando has a bad start. P1 start box is also miles ahead of P2 and P3 in addition to the short run.so unlikely.

will be interesting though as you said.
