Xi or ???

OK, I am over my snit with BMW from the other thread so lets not rehash it. I have a right to vent on occasion.

BTW the sales efforts are impressive. Place I bought my 2021 X5 got notified that I did a payoff request from BMW Financial and sales manager sent me an email. And hour later I get a call from a salesman. Who claims he was just going through files of past sales. Yet he does work for the sales manager that emailed me. Twilight zone.

Looking at the midsize SUV EV market BMW has the Xi. Which I test drove early when it was introduced. I liked it. But it has a lot of good competition.

Personal needs in a car help. I am older, do not care about sporty any longer, and this car will probably never spend a night outside my garage being well within the range of all the current EVs. I don't do road trips. Looking for reliability and comfort and ease of driving (for wife unit).

Contenders include Xi, Hyundai and Kia, Genesis, Cadillac Optiq ( shocks me), Audi and I'm sure I'm forgetting some.

Would love opinions of Xi owners on satisfaction or any other EVs in this class.

One thing that struck me when talking to the sales guy from BMW was he suggested it is better to lease than buy EVs since the tech is changing so rapidly and if their resale value plummets better to let BMW take the hit. Wondering if he gets a bigger commission or if there is some value to this.

Probably going nowhere with this as my current X5 has 32K on it but... hey I've been known to trade in with lower mileage.
