The iX is a solid vehicle if you are looking for a spacious EV. The new 2026 recently had a face lift, and you have 3 versions to choose from. It actually has more cargo capacity than an X5, and still handles like a BMW.
Like any electric they depreciate like crazy, so they are better to lease. BMW also puts out heavy incentives on EV leases ($9900 in rebates alone before any dealer discounts).
The salesperson doesn’t get paid any different in his commission whether you lease or purchase the vehicle, and frankly….. pretty much no one is paying sticker on an iX so he’s pretty much guaranteed a flat couple hundred bucks at best.
