I had this issue on my 440i when i switched wheels from the stock wheels to 437m. Someone above mentioned it, but it was because I was still using the extended lugs that I had been using for the spacers with the stock wheels. Was also on the passenger side, so very likely could be interference with the e brake hardware as mentioned above. Once I went back to regular lugs the noise was gone.
While I was looking into it, it does seem that it can also be due to movement between the wheel and rotor or rotor and hub due to corrosion. BMW sells friction rings that fit between wheel/rotor/hub that supposedly solve the issue. Also it’s always always good practice to use a wire wheel and brake cleaner or wd40 to clean the hub any time you’re changing rotors.
