Laid back, relaxing, great food, awesome fishing, and it's beautiful.
When my mom hit 80 we moved her off the Texas coast. Generally because every time a storm hit I was having to go down there to prep and go back to up-prep. I think by the time she moved out she was paying nearly 10k a year in flood, wind, storm and fire insurance. They broke those apart to kind of hide the cost but bundled together it was really more than she could afford.

I reckon in 25 years the only people who can afford to live on the coast will all be hedge fund managers
