The best book by far that I have seen is 'H Point - The Fundamentals of Car Design & Packaging' by Stuart Macey with Geoff Wardle. It is the official book for students at Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA, which is one of the best known industrial design colleges in the world. Some of the greatest designers went there. Trust me, it's as up to date as it gets since it was released for the fist time at the end of March, you cannot go wrong with this book.
