This is not the first time Fox News has done this; they did the exact same thing with Larry Craig;
Quote:
During the first 40 minutes of Fox's "premiere business news" show, Your World w/Neil Cavuto today (August 28, 2007), substitute host Dagen McDowell repeatedly promoted a live press conference Idaho senator Larry Craig would hold "during the hour," about "complaints of lewd behavior," or "lewd conduct." While Fox's graphic identified Craig as "(R-ID)," McDowell was generally careful to refer to Craig as "Senator Craig," leaving out his party affiliation and failing to highlight the sex part.
When Fox finally went to the presser, the chyron that appeared at the bottom of the screen while Craig spoke read, "Sen. Craig Addresses Bathroom Arrest." Bathroom arrest? You can be absolutely sure that if Craig were a Democrat, every single one of McDowell's teasers would have clearly (and loudly) included Craig's party affiliation, lots of references to homosexuality and sex, and that pitiful lil' ol' chyron would have read something more like: "Democratic Sen. Larry Craig (D-ID) Discusses Soliciting Gay Sex."
