Luckily I didn't have to come to a complete stop or I would have been screwed for sure.
I'll clarify, but I meant to say that as long as there aren't too many big hills and the lay of the land is relatively smooth, you'll be ok. Of course, with momentum you can make it up the hill but, as you experience, once you're stopped you may be S out of luck.

I drove my E46 in Pittsurgh for two years in the winter, and could actually make it up most hills - there were a few I learned to avoid.

Safest thing to do is move to a place with no snow

Haha, I wish it was that easy to move somewhere no snow. I would have done it in a heart beat. That being said, I don't mind the snow THAT much as you get used to it after a while and then it just adds different beauty and character to any place.

The votes are overwhelmingly towards the M3, sounds like I made the right choice!

LOL

I’ve have had over 30 different cars in the last 10 years. So definitely don’t have it anymore.

Oh for sure. I am far from it. That’s why I was laughing. I go through way too many cars.

Reflecting on the last 10 years, the only thing that has become clear is the f06 and f13 6 series is a timeless design that continues to have interior and exterior quality and design cues that are simply unmatched with today's cars. It balances old school analog and usable technology that new cars cannot do. The e92s are incredibly dated and to me, not usable in today's day and age. I have multiple M6s (including the almost impossible to find 6-spd) and 650s and simply cannot find a replacement for them.

Not usable. Oh boy are some people out of touch with reality.
Not usable, I guess I'll give my M3 to the scrappers now.

I'm so glad post like this exists to help navigate the enthusiast away from unusable cars.
