Anyone have a contact that might deal with West Michigan area dealers or advice for a situation with local dealer?

Customer Service at BMW NA. The number should be in your warranty booklet, or JFGI.

+1 It depends... BMW NA is likely to give you the "each dealer is an independent business" line for many issues.
