I never realized there was a competitive rubiks cube league, let alone anyone was making equipment for them! What's with the fanct timer?
Looks like he messed it up in a certain order, so he knew how to solve already. I'd be interested to see him solve one that someone else messed up.

Apparently it's not entirely impossible. I searched on youtube and found multiple contests with special timers. One guy got like 10.4 or something like that. I like the clicky sound they make lol

I always call bullshit on these claims of solving a rubik's cube in 10 seconds. They ALWAYS study the damn thing for quite awhile ahead of time, where they are working it out in their head to solve it. The timing is just their hands moving the pieces in the order they determined ahead of time.
This guy also created the jumble, then spent 20 seconds studying it, then spent 10 seconds "solving" it. Bullshit. Give someone a randomly jumbled cube, and the timer starts as soon as they see it, and see how fast they can do it. I'm sure their times will not be nearly as quick.

My best record once was 1 min 40 sec to solve it (I'm not a professional though). There are just several algorithms (sets of moves) that have to be performed in certain sequence. Once you memorize them, you can solve any rubik's cube. BTW it doesn't matter who and how messes it up before as long as particles were not physically removed and twisted.

The timer is one used in cup stacking competitions.
But I agree. This guy jumbled the cube. I call BS.

I 'solved' Rubik's cube once in my life. It took me a little while to peel the stickers off then replace them in the proper order.
