I tried watching it on TV. Honestly I'd rather watch paint dry. Actually I'd rather watch grass grow at least I'll be outside

No. That was a 3-4 day private orbital tourist flight with four civilians (and no plumber), and it splashed down a few weeks ago. Wednesday's launch is a brand new capsule with a Block II toilet design, that will likely spend 200 days or so docked at the International Space Station.

Funny thing is that there was a Dragon capsule docked at the space station for about 200 days, and the toilet failure on the short private tourist flight led them to discover that the toilet was also broken on that capsule! The astronauts that splashed down in that capsule on Monday after 6+ months on the space station had to wear diapers for their return trip.....

Am I the only one disappointed that it took almost 2 freaking hours, AFTER docking, to get the damn hatch open???

While I'm not Shatner yet, I ain't got time for waiting around that long to get in and have a drink at the space bar

Wede, come on over. I'm watching the grass grow in the backyard, I think I saw a blade gain about a micrometer. There could be frosty beverages as well

That is the usual delay. Remember, all space station operating procedures need to be approved by every single government with an interest in the ISS for safety reasons.

I'm sure that NASA and the ESA are re-writing the docking procedures for Russian-built space station modules after the accidental retro-firing incident two months ago that sent the station spinning uncontrollably. That mistake probably cost Boeing another year in their Starliner capsule certification, since their docking time slot was bumped until next year because of the Russian module malfunction.

Who are we kidding? Boeing's Starliner is even worse than their 737-Max airplanes, and the first launch didn't even reach the ISS because the thrusters malfunctioned due to a clock failure. Starliner is more dangerous than that new Russian space station module! With all of the bugs that they found post-flight in the Starliner's computer code that passed QC tests, I have my doubts that Starliner will every carry passengers.....

But, come ON! Move package 10-1078 to position 10-1002. Move 10-1002 to position 10-1135. Move 10-1135 to . . . So nobody bumps their head coming thru the dock??? I get that 3 of the four were new to space (and got their pin ) but really???

5 minutes for pressurization checks, that turned into 15? Ripley and the kid would have been alien food in that timeframe!!!!!

I must admit, I had horrible visions of explosive decomp. This is why I shouldn't watch anything live. At T - 1:00 I told my wife "It's going to explode before second stage"

Every last detail in space is logged and part of a documented procedure. Obviously, you're not cut out to be an astronaut.

Remember, in space, no one can hear you pee!!!!!

For every action, there's an equal and opposite reaction:

After being cooped up in a flying can for months, I would think that the other folks in the space station would push you out of the nearest airlock for stinking up the place. I'm sure that the checklist for that maneuver is only three hours long.....
