Gravity- the movie

Anyone planning to see this? I think it looks stunning, visual-wise. The premise seems interesting.

Just saw this movie this evening.

Huge hype about this movie. It was good, but not as good as all the hype and reviews made it out to be.

This visuals were stunning and incredible for sure. However, there were some slow moments and a little bit of cheese.

I still enjoyed it for what it was. I'd still recommend watching it in the theatre. They did an awesome job portraying the physics in outer space.

Why can't they just launch Sandra Bullock into outer space and call it a day?

I didn't pay good money and drive all the way to watch 15 minutes into the film.

Having said that, I was hoping for more science and storyline. This feels like Cast Away but in space.

Saw it when it opened on Wednesday afternoon.

It was a good movie for what it was. With movie prices at only $6 its super cheap. Why not go see it? Thor 2 = $6!

Depends on where you live.

In Mira Mesa California (San Diego) at the IMAX its $20 a ticket. Here in Maine that same ticket is $9 for 3D and $6 for 2D.

Man, the last movie I saw was $9 for 2D. My fiance just went to see it in IMAX in Atlanta and it was $15 for 3D. I still take my student ID everywhere for discounts though

Saw it in IMAX 3D last night. It's stunning and will for sure win the oscar for effects and possibly director. The only thing I didn't like was the music. No spoilers but at the end it's astounding how it made me really really notice gravity. When I got up i was like "damn this crap is heavy" lol! Only see this in 3D. Anything else will be a waste.

LOL 4 people.

Yeah nothing compared to Honolulu, Anchorage, Los Angeles, San Diego, Portland, Seattle, etc.. All areas I have lived in. Its pretty small and movies sometimes come out on Wednesdays here and its $6-$9 locally and in the larger city its $10 I think. Way better than IMAX tickets in Mira Mesa or Del Mar California.

There they have the basic 3D and the newer 3D. So its $18 for regular 3D and $20 for upgraded 3D.

The best thing is I can go at 4pm after I get off work lets say on a Thursday and for 200 seats maybe 10 folks are there. Its awesome. No lines down the fricken street or around the building. No waiting inside or lines, yet we have 60,000 folks in the town but its so widespread most folks don't really do movies here. It all rural.

Some folks love it or hate it. I have been in places smaller with no movie theater. Cordova Alaska had about 250 population and no movies. You would have to fly to Seward for the closest movie theater. lol Yakatat Alaska is also tiny. Nome or Kotzebue is also small. Hunting and hiking is some of the best in the country though.
