Now this is a bold move for the Lexus brand: producing a virtually unchanged concept car. Lexus still believes in NA engines with their beautiful V8. This is thanks to Toyota's President and avid car racer (he completed the 24hr of Nurburgring) Akio Toyoda who wants to infuse more excitement in the Toyota and Lexus brands... All in all, I like the car and love a global company that's not afraid to take chances!

The 1st reviews are in and are very good!

It's indeed a very heavy car. They wanted to make the shell ultra rigid: it is more than the LFA Supercar and the downside is the weight...

I think that racing heritage in regards to LC500 is BS. If Mr. Toyoda wanted more excitement in this Lexus he would start with weight reduction and would never approve 4400 lbs in 187' package. The real reason why they went with V8 is reliability, which was always Toyota's number one goal and there is nothing wrong the that. Nevertheless I absolutely love this new Lexus LC500, hopefully they can keep the price down

I think it is a bold move for Lexus, but I doubt it moves the bar for the class beyond design, which is a personal taste.

I think like the GS-F, IS-F it will be a failure against its competitive set.

The car has beautiful lines and proportions, although it seems big and heavy if that makes sense. I just can't get past the grill. M3ZING's rendering above makes the grill a bit less overbearing, but still....

The car is a luxury coupe, kinda like S coupe, just as luxurious, but a lot cheaper. Experienced the car and also the supreme ML audio at the LA auto show.

However for practicality purposes I would probably take a GS F. Both my wife and I really liked the GS F. Tho since I drive a Tesla now and had a GS just a couple years ago, doubt I ll be getting into a GS F this generation...

I am not in the income bracket / age group for ultra luxury coupes yet.

So is this thing in line to compete with the 6 series and S Coupe? What's the price point? It looks good in black

A huge 4,300lbs car with less than 400tq, that understeers at the limit. With questionable styling. Sounds like a winner.

It's a Lexus. People will be lined up to buy it.

If I were older and fatter, I can't fathom buying this over an S Class Coupe.

Like that long line for the RC-F, that never showed up. This car shares that same old recycled V8. People will test drive it and realize it is missing that effortless torque of the competitor's twin turbo V8s. Gobs of torque down low make big heavy cars like this a pleasure to drive.

This is a luxury car, the old people buying it don't want to have be revving it out all day to get in the powerband. The engine would be great in a light weight sports car.

I see tons of RC-F's in Dallas. Of course we also bought Allantes, Buick Rivieras and Isuzu VehiCross down here.

One of my favorite cars. Wish they had kept the spirit of the LFA in their current "performance" lineup. Instead: heavy, antiquated, junk.

I'd even have been willing to overlook their lack of a proper gearbox.
