Have version 6.8.0 of the app and recently the photos won't load on my iPhone. Was loading fine on this version until yesterday. Looks like this now for all photos. Anybody else getting this?

Edit: avatars don’t load, or any pics at all.

iPhone 7, iOS version 15.8.3.

Worked just fine up until yesterday. No new iOS version or app version updates.

Ok I think its because of the iOS version 15, we are using a significantly faster/smaller image system now which needs iOS 16+. From some online stats it seems like only 3% of iOS users are still on iOS 15, so I didn’t think anyone here would be affected. I am going to try to think of a way around that, but if its possible to go to iOS 16 then that would be the easier solution

Ok I just read up a little more and realize the iPhone 7 can’t go up to iOS 16 👎

Let me think a little more on what to do in this situation

LOL!

I just basically created version 6.8.1 which solves the problem specifically for the older iOS version. This version is called BIMMERPOST 6.8.1 Esteban's user avatarEsteban version

I have just submitted it to the App Store and hopefully it will be available soon

Thank you so much apptest's user avatarapptest. I am honored.

For vreihen16's user avatarvreihen16, I have been known to keep things in pristine condition and hang on to them forever, or until they break (or become obsolete). Plan on doing that with my iPhone 7, but thank you for thinking of me.

Your iPhone 7 has been officially been declared obsolete by Apple, and is not receiving any new software or security updates (hence why a special BP app version needs to be built to accommodate it.)

I'm also someone who does long holds on Apple stuff, but had to replace my beloved personal iPhone X last year due to lack of security updates and a battery that was going dead in two hours. My new iPhone 16 Pro will probably be the last phone that I ever buy.....

As long as the battery health is good (and this app is updated) this will be my working phone. I expect my new phone at some point will be the new iPhone 16e. Until then, this is it for me.

Like you, I expect the 16e will be my last phone, but we cannot predict what the future has in store for us. I am 70 now and I may live to 85 or beyond. I don't know, but would be surprised if my new iPhone 16e would make it that long, but anything is possible.

I am hoping that Apple's Watch offerings will not need to be tethered to an iPhone by the time my 16 Pro expires.....

Let’s hope we live past the expiration of our phones. Talk about being tethered to something.

I hope that you realize the irony of mentioning tethered and batteries expiring to a person with no natural heartbeat and having his ticker fired by a battery-powered pacemaker 24/7. If the batteries go dead, so do I..... :confused0068:

I wish you all the best and hope you live a long life but I believe you are the one who brought up batteries and being tethered to something first.
