Hadjar better be careful. If he drives any better he might be demoted to Red Bull.

Interesting strat by Leclerc's side of garage. They used an additional set of softs in practice(apparently his decision), so he only got one run in FP3 on fresh tires. Saying it was a decision in order to have more fresh mediums for the race.

Some of the better RBR comments...what a lost cause that 2nd seat is.

Yuki: "I don't think it's the set-up, because to be honest, we tried almost every set-up."
“Even in the long runs [this weekend] was a good example. Whatever I do, nothing happens and it feels like this car is eating the tyres like hell, having degradation massively."

Pierre Waché: "To be honest, we tried something completely different with Yuki, with a big rear wing to see how it performed in qualifying - which was a mistake on our part."

Max: “yuki is not a pancake. this (with the second driver) has of course been going on for a long time. maybe that is also a sign. of what? you can fill that in yourself.”

i don't know what his contract is like but if i were is manager I'd be looking at drives elsewhere, anywhere but RB.

the car is like Thor's hammer, only Max can drive it, Yuki was last in Qualifying complaining of no grip at the front, no grip at the rear, sliding all 4 wheels, while on softs.

the only guy in the front runners with 2 fresh mediums. the rest are going to be going medium - soft -soft (or soft medium soft or soft soft medium) because apparently nobody wants to run the hards.

however i can foresee max running the hards if yuki says the track eats his tyres alive.

MAX said : You can fill that in yourself.”

In other words : The RB21 still s@cks and that's why Yuki is P20 .

As requested by Yuki , they gave him a much bigger rear wing because he couldn't control the car in the FP's (oversteer + understeer)
Yuki was eating his tyres alive because he ran with the bigger rear wing (too much downforce)
And too much downforce is always a slower car .

As I said : The RB21 is a Frankenstein car and that won't change in this season.
Pierre Waché just s@cks , he can't change the RB21 fundamental design flaw.
Too bad for Yuki and MAX , just put MAX in the McLaren and this season was already over .

1997 - Jerez (European Grand Prix): Villeneuve - Schumacher - Frentzen.

Equal qualies lap times = grid positions are determined chronologically.

Ratio: the driver who clocked the same time at a later stage of the qualies got in principle a virtual advantage of a fraction more rubber/grip on track, matching but not beating an already set time.

Verstappen needs to get past the McLarens asap to get into clean air to reduce tire degradation. Very complicated when starting from P3 behind the McLarens, except if Piastri and Norris get 'touchy' in Turn 1. Can Verstappen and Russell put enough pressure on Piastri and Norris in the straight to Turn 1 ? I expect Piastri and Noris to go flatout all the way to Turn 1 with a "who brakes the latest ?" game. Norris has the inside, so could divebomb to force getting the lead. Piastri cannot move too sharp to the right to block Norris, because he also needs to protect his left side against a Verstappen approach.

I also appreciate his demeanor - he lets his driving do the talking.
Ollie is a good shout too, I would place him 3rd in the rookie of the year ranking. With a better car and upgrades, then 3rd position should be questionable.

On par, Kimi has assimilated to the Mercedes well as shown by his points, but it looks like Hadjar has gotten more and more comfortable with his racing bull and I would assume the racing bull gets overlooked versus the Mercedes performance in terms of engine or performance upgrades
I.e. Hadjar has done more with less with the narrative that the red bull 'usually' competes with the likes of McLaren, Ferrari and Mcercedes

Hadjar has also admitted that Lawson is helping him, what Yuki should be doing with MAX but the 22 car is going backwards, at this particular hot circuit anyway.
