These are just the Z06 vehicles and I have a few more vehicles. I need to consolidate, I know.

Consolidate or diversify? Although, to me, consolidate would mean reduce # but to uograde a to a ZR1.

No different than some of the garages over on Rennlist. Besides, the right foot wants what the right foot wants. Or maybe he is really lucky with Corvette Club raffles? Or has slowly taken out the local dealer competition?

For the same $$ I would have a smaller and more varied collection. Vette, 911, Lamborghini.

Really enjoying this cars value for what I paid for it. The 550 has just enough power and the electronic exhaust dump has been a lot of fun on the weekend. The lack of tech, no turbo, no air suspension is also nice.

I like being in possession of all my limbs, being able to move them, having my full mental faculties, all the scalp attached to my head, having no external road/car hardware inside my body, and generally being not-dead.

Just a very short set of examples of real outcomes I've taken care of from experienced motorcycle riders.

I will NEVER ride a motorcycle. Absolutely not.

This year’s US road trip rental. 2024 C8 Stingray 2LT.

I really liked it. Very good touring car. Smooth ride, nice interior, good ergonomics, great seats. Doesn’t feel super fast but it is plenty fast enough to enjoy driving it. Enjoyable to drive in all conditions and lots of fun through the twisties with nice balance. Gearbox is really good. Probably the best DCT I’ve driven in auto mode traffic conditions and has really quick changes when driven manually. Steering is also impressive for a modern car. Surprisingly quiet exhaust but a decent enough sound when you give it some beans.

A great all rounder.

I have my perfect stable, for now. The X6M that is quiet, luxurious and fast enough to surprise the ignorant that think their big truck is faster, the 1275 WHP GTR, and the point and shoot Z06.

I bought 1lz base trims and I just like the car so damn much and it's so much bang for the buck compared to any other sports/exotic car out there. I was a HUGE fan of the 458 Italia back in the day, and when I finally got my chance, I went crazy. It's a collection to a certain extent for the time being.

I STRONGLY dislike drugs, cigarette smoking (secondhand too), vaping, and alcohol in all aspects and greatly. I have never done them and never sold them. I do take ibuprofen when I have a headache, though - and even that is on rare occasions. That's it.

Not sure what the future holds. I need to simplify if I ever find the motivation. Trading for the ZR1 is not out of the question if it's a fair financial and emotional scenario. Now that I reflect back, the base Stingray with Z51 is more than enough, and I should have found a way to try harder to stick with my prior Stingray(s) and be content. Easier said than done.

I'm not a Porsche or Lambo guy. I don't think I will ever be, or will I ever choose to. No offense. I do like some of their engineering at times, but those times are fading away as time progresses. The value on those other luxury brands is not good compared to a Corvette or even a BRZ/86/400Z. One of those cars can easily take the cost of half my cars... Way too much.

Anyone local can make me a good offer, and we can see. I don't ride it as much as I want to. I used to ride a lot more 10-15 years ago.

If you have any doubts, don't ride. Stay in your own zone. It's not for everyone. You have to be very committed, ride extremely defensively, and gear up fully and all the way. Ride smart and mature. Not a kids game like some people think of it.

I drove from Oceanside to Palm Springs. So road trip is probably an optimistic description in US or Australian terms.

This bit of the route circled is an awesome bit of road. I was very lucky I think to have little traffic. Believe it or not a number of cars were so nice to actually pull over and let me by. Just like being in an Aston.

I abandoned my planned Joshua Tree leg as A) I had quite a hangover. B) extreme heat warnings. C) combination of A & B. So I went on the tram thing that was really cool at the time and bonus excellent stretch of road with no-one on it on the way to the parking area. It was 73° at the top 108° at the bottom.

It's been a loooong time, but I seem to remember that Hwy 243 from the 10 up to Mountain Center and down 74 was also entertaining. Much cooler up there too. And scenic.

I don't wipe the dust away at least on the gauge display for fear of scratching the soft plastic. (I carry a brush in every vehicle I own.)

Rather I use a soft natural bristle paint brush to brush the dust that accumulates seemingly over night.
