Why in the world would you listen to your #2 driver? It doesnt do them any good to listen to a guy who honestly isnt performing. If it wasnt for Ant taking out Max and Rus having a bad race, Ham likely ends up 7th (where he usually is).

MAX did try out the so said (worthless)! RB21 Spielberg upgrades .
I mean he ran with the Spielberg upgrades in the 3 free practices and qualifying .

During the free practice they had to re-work the new upgraded RB21 floor with a grinding wheel machine (!)
MAX's radio during the qualifying : The car is completely undriveable in slow , mid and fast corners (!)

When you just touch a F1 car's floor , the car has to return in the wind tunnel to make the necessary adjustments (if necessary)
But hey man let's do it here and now , let's cut a piece of the damn new floor here and there too ...

ANT was dive bombing on the inside of T3 to gain positions but the rookie locked up his rear brakes and that transformed his Benz car in a dangerous projectile (!)
What followed was a disaster for MAX and DNF .

They were jaw dropping in the free pratice , qualifying and race .
That car is a weapon (!)

And according to GPFans is MAX's exit clause unlocked (departure clause) after the Spielberg disaster .

Being a NZer I am stoked for Lawson to finally get a good result. I feared he might have been in trouble after the Antonelli incident as it appeared he took a tap on the sidepod and we've seen sometimes that even an innocent looking contact like that can significantly upset a cars aerodynamic balance.

But what is more interesting is that some of my questions I asked before the race have been answered.

• Mercedes still sucks at hot tracks
• Merc customers are still cooking their power units
• It was Sauber's turn to show a decent turn of speed, whereas Haas had to work for their solitary point
• AMR look promising in qualifying trim but their race pace is lacking
