Too many examples of individuals in gubment doing things or even openly saying "who cares, try to stop me, or we think we are right-and the 9th Circuit got this one wrong."

Force makes right (even when it is wrong). So . . .I presume that anytime any government entity (the force part) attempts to regulate, curb freedoms, etc, that the force must face some level of scrutiny--and that is where the differences / opinions come out.

I, too, am interested in watching this enforcement play out, and as someone else in this thread said, one side is likely to win, and one side is likely to lose--and rarely is it as clear-cut or as quick as one side wants it to be. . .

My prediction is a couple of guys that are at the very low end of the scale to make this worthwhile are gonna get busted and have their cars seized as evidence, and get absolutely wrecked, and all the big money people will say "not worth the hassle or cost of paying my.lll lawyers to fight this" and register the cars like normal.

I doubt they'll go after a super high profile guy with a ton of money like zuck the cuck because he's got super deep pockets to fight it if he wants to, but the guy who's got a GTR or an MSX with a Montana LLC, they're easy pickings. Hopefully after that they follow up with putting some of the guys like Ed Bolian that are profiteering from these tax fraud schemes in prison too.

My bet is they will do nothing. That’s what they are good at

Well, if you are in California, you can snitch on others using this link. I definitely didn't do this to my neighbor when he backed into my car and then told his insurance company it was my fault.

Wasn't California or New York paying people to snitch on neighbors who were violating their "no get together unless it's a political function or a riot" orders during COVID?

Not saying it's right, and I don't condone tax evasion at all. However, I'm afraid if CA gets more tax money, they'll just waste it away on "woke" policies.

I just stay in FL where it's like $74/year to register a BMW or a Toyota or a Ferrari.

MA has had the same for a while now:

File a complaint with the I-Pay-Tax Program
You can use the I-Pay-Tax program to report someone who may be evading taxes by registering their vehicle in another state.

Still gotta pay sales tax, which is what Montana avoids.

Considering my friend pays like $1k a year just to register his C8 in CA I would imagine that's a big factor also.

Shhh. Don't let them know. We have too many transplants here already.

Avoid Florida, it was 9000 degrees today and there's probably going to be a hurricane soon and don't forget about the alligators and 6' tall predatory birds! Definitely better for everyone to stay where they are and not move here!

Lol. Primary residence Florida. Stay there November-March then head back to the Northeast. Not that the weather is much cooler then down there but enough.
