I’ll add another vote for the Ryobi. I received mine about 2 years ago as a Father’s Day gift from kids, so I didn’t have much say in picking the unit. It’s been running like a champ for 2 years though. The only drawbacks are it is a little noisy (not obnoxious), and the flow rate doesn’t allow me to use the rec dec sprayer nozzle for the final rinse.

As other’s have said, I’d focus more on getting quality components for the setup than the pressure washer itself. My setup has the Ryobi 1.2gpm unit, 50 ft Kobrajet hose, MTM SGS28 gun, knock-off Amazon MTM reel, Griot’s BOSS foam cannon, and an Envig DI unit. It foams and cleans really well, and I’m just as OCD as the next guy about keeping my cars clean, especially my BSM 340i.

It’s not the prettiest, but this isn’t our forever home, and it’s functional and very effective.

You don't need to spend too much. The $80 harbor reight unit is quite good and does a great job with a larger orifice nozzle like 3.0-4.0.

You can spend hundreds on your gay sounding krazle dazzle units, but your car won't look any better.
